DNA Business Club – a hub for local Watford Businesses
DNA Business Club, a networking luncheon that runs quarterly has had a significant impact for businesses which wanted to network, grow and build strategic Connections. The Club has been running for over 5 years and is viewed as a vibrant exchange forum for established local businesses to enjoy and participate in doing more business, operating better businesses, meeting likeminded people and having some fun along the way and therefore the quarterly meetings host 60/70 local business people for lunches. Every year the club runs a Christmas Special and this year we believe it is more important than ever to get local businesses “back into business” and being positive so as to generate local success and growth.
Rakesh Dua, CEO of Dua Group and founder of DNA Business Club has been in Business over 20 years helping Clients and Contacts achieve tremendous Savings & Success.
The DNA Xmas Special is to be held on 7th December 2011 at Corporate Lounge of Watford Football Club. In addition to Dua & Co., this year’s Christmas Special will be sponsored by Virtual Back Office and Clydesdale Bank.
This year’s event boasts special guests: Alec Stewart OBE (Ambassador to Clydesdale Bank), nicknamed “The Gaffer”, is the most capped England cricketer of all time in Test matches and 2nd most capped in One Day Internationals, having played in 133 Tests and 170 ODIs. We think there is a strong correlation between sports and business particularly with regards to recovering and positive mental attitude making an impact on performance. We want our Business Champions to remain focused and understand the steps they need to take to make positive growth at a time of austerity. By being better run businesses that are well managed and monitored they should be screaming at the Banks to lend money to them for financing their growth.
To add to the festive spirit, we have Kevin Connelly, an extremely talented impressionist, comedian and after dinner speaker, entertain our delegates. Kevin was part of Talk Radio's World Cup team and Star of the BBC'S Dead Ringers. This programme won the Best Radio Comedy at British Comedy Awards 2001.
The event will be attended by many local Businesses, prominent personalities and celebrities. In the past the Club has supported Charities such as Cancer Research, Wish Upon a Star, British Heart Foundation, RNIB and raised over £2500 per annum. In line with tradition of each year, the chosen Charity this year is Watford Peace Hospice and the event will include a Raffle & Auction.
